The All New 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe
The 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe is a fully updated version of the G35 coupe that put Infiniti on the map as a serious player in the market for premium sporting coupes. There's a new engine, new front suspension, updated styling both inside and out, and slightly altered dimensions.
The real news is the power plant, which received an increase in displacement to 3.7 liters thanks to a 4.6mm increase in stroke. Nissan's Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL) now alters valve timing and lift on the intake valves. Compression is increased from 10.6:1 to 11.0:1. These tweaks combine to increase output to a projected 330 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. That's 30 hp more and 30 lb-ft less torque than BMW's 335i coupe. It represents an improvement of 55 hp and 2 lb-ft over the current G35 coupe's 3.5-liter V6.
Transmission options include a five-speed automatic, which is shared with the G35 sedan but includes a new calibration and modified torque converter characteristics. It also comes with shift paddles behind the steering wheel. Alternatively, there's a six-speed manual that is modified from the sedan to reduce vibration. Its clutch is also refined for smoother engagement. The test car we drove, however, featured the G model's five-speed automatic transmission.
The basis for the G37 is Nissan's revised FM (Front Midship) platform, which now boasts a 36-percent increase in rigidity over the G35 coupe. The front double-wishbone suspension now has a single, lower ball joint instead of the previous double ball-joint arrangement in order to reduce steering kickback. Rear suspension remains a multilink setup.
When the G37 is equipped with a sport package (as was our test car), it will feature the largest-diameter brake rotors in the segment. Fourteen-inch rotors are stopped by four-piston (two per side) front calipers. The rear setup will include fractionally smaller 13.8-inch rotors and conventional single-action two-piston calipers. In dynamic bench tests, the larger front rotors helped reduce brake temperatures by 100 F compared to the G35's sport-package brakes, which should translate directly to better fade resistance.
Four-wheel active steering (4WAS) steers the rear wheels up to 1 degree based on input from an array of sensors, and it will be available on coupes with the Premium Package. Adding in small amounts of rear steering effectively changes the overall steering ratio between 12:1 and 20:1. Rear steering is currently a $1,500 option on the 2007 Infiniti G35 Sedan, so we expect a similar price structure for the coupe.
New styling inside and out
The coupe's proportions remain the same, but there are significant detail tweaks that differentiate the newer, more muscular G. The grille now features Infiniti's signature double arch, the headlights and taillights are L-shaped and the rear deck incorporates an integral spoiler. There's also a distinct character line running the length of both sides of the hood.
Dimensionally the G coupe remains low and wide. Overall length is up about one inch while width and height change only 0.2 and 0.1 inch, respectively. The wheelbase is still 112.2 inches — considerably longer than both the BMW 335i and Lexus IS 350 sedan.
Anyone comfortable with the current G35 will feel right at home in the G37. Most of the hardware looks to have been lifted directly from the 2007 G35 sedan, including the seats, shift lever and steering wheel. The basic layout is the same as well, with a rounded door panel melding into the dash. Aluminum trim is plentiful — from the doors to the pedals with the Sport Package. And there's the Infiniti-signature oval analog clock built into the dash.
The instrument panel still moves up and down as the steering wheel's tilt is adjusted, but the magnesium shift paddles (right for upshifts, left for downshifts) do not turn with the wheel. The steering wheel on the Sport Package car we drove included audio, cruise control and Bluetooth buttons and had a satisfyingly fat leather-wrapped rim.
The sport seats still use an asymmetrical design with a small bolster in the middle of the driver seat and adjustable thigh extensions. The seat adjustment controls have moved from the side of the center console to more conventional placement on the outside of the seat bottom cushion.
Giddyup
From the first corner driven in anger, it's easy to sense the G37's focus. There's firmer damping and better body control than in the BMW 335i. More impressive is the steering, which offers a perfect compromise of surface feel, steering effort and feedback. This makes the G37 more intuitive and better behaved at the cornering limit than the BMW — and the car we drove hadn't even been fitted with the optional four-wheel steering.
The engine, despite its longer stroke, retains the 7,500-rpm redline of the G35 sedan and makes genuinely usable power at high rpm. In tight corners the G's viscous limited-slip differential puts power down consistently through 245/40ZR19 rear rubber. Infiniti staggers the tires so the front gets smaller 225/40ZR19 tires. Both the 19-inch wheels and limited-slip differential are exclusive to the Sport Package.
It's clear when driving hard that Nissan is keenly aware its competition has upped the bar. The improvements to the G37 are shrewdly focused in areas which help the G compare favorably in exactly the conditions we were given to test the cars — on a racetrack. With the Sport Package comes stiffer springs, more aggressive dampers and larger antiroll bars. We'll withhold judgment about the G's ability to adapt to real-world driving as brilliantly as BMW's 3 Series until we're able to drive them both on the street.
One area in which we know the G falls short is the shift lever for the automatic transmission, which must be toggled forward for upshifts and backward for downshifts — the opposite of BMW practice. We've always liked pulling back on the lever to trigger the next higher gear as acceleration drives us into the seat, as if we were shifting from 3rd to 4th gear. Pushing forward on the lever to downshift under braking is similarly intuitive.
Of course, if you use the shift paddles, none of this matters. Downshifts are executed with a perfect rpm match — a rare and impressive achievement in a transmission with a torque converter.
The question remains whether the G37 Sport will match the acceleration of the BMW 335i, which hits 60 mph in only 4.8 seconds and trounces the quarter-mile in 13.3 seconds at almost 106 mph. Our seat-of-the-pants assessment says that the G37 isn't quite up to that task, due mostly to its torque deficit, fewer gears (the Bimmer has a six-speed automatic) and heavier estimated weight (3,682 pounds vs. 3,571 pounds).
But anytime the going gets twisty and you're driving in the upper reaches of the power band, the G will leave the 3 Series in its wake with better top-end punch and a more performance-focused chassis.
Get yours
G37 coupes will hit dealers on August 21 of this year. Infiniti PR folks were characteristically tight-lipped about pricing, which won't be announced until just before the on-sale date.
If Infiniti follows tradition, however, it will undercut its German competition in price while offering similar or better performance.
2007 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG, True Power
The World's Most Powerful Series-Production Car: The New S 65 AMG: In A Class Of Its Own!
Exclusivity and dynamism in a wholly new dimension: the new Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG in a nutshell. The compelling top-of-the-line model of the brand new S-Class delivers 450 kW/612 hp and reaches peak torque of 1000 Nm – more than any other vehicle in this segment. The use of the new, innovative AMG high-performance composite brakes with twin sliding callipers at the front further illustrates the unique technological prowess of the powerful AMG Saloon. The standard specification of the new S 65 AMG includes a new AMG sports suspension based on Active Body Control, the unmistakable AMG bodystyling, multi-piece 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels, DIRECT SELECT gearshift with AMG steering-wheel gearshift paddles as well as the new AMG main menu with RACETIMER. The powerful AMG Saloon stands self-confidently ahead of the competition, testimony to the outstanding role of Mercedes-AMG GmbH in developing extraordinary vehicles and powerful drive systems.
The new Mercedes-Benz S 65 AMG is celebrating its world premiere at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 8, 2006. Its ultra-powerful AMG 6.0-litre V12 biturbo engine delivers performance that many sports car drivers can only dream about: it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and 0 to 200 km/h in just 13.3 seconds (provisional figures). The top speed is 250 km/h (electronically limited).
World first: newly developed AMG high-performance composite brakes
The completely newly developed AMG high-performance composite brakes based on the ADAPTIVE BRAKE system set new standards in terms of stopping distances, sensitivity and durability. A new twin sliding calliper is used for the front brakes, the kind of innovation people have come to expect from AMG. This new, unique technology combines the advantages of a floating-calliper brake – lower heat transfer to the brake fluid and significantly improved ride comfort due to the way the brake pads are located – with the performance of a large fixed-calliper brake. At the rear a large sliding frame-type calliper provides the braking. Composite brake discs at the front and rear with a diameter of 390 and 365 millimetres respectively ensure the shortest stopping distances, remarkable strength and outstanding sensitivity. The dual-circuit hydraulic braking system is controlled electronically and supports numerous driver assistance functions that improve safety and comfort. Multi-piece 19-inch AMG light-alloy wheels with mixed tyres provide the contact with the road. 255/40 ZR 19 tyres are fitted on 8.5-inch-wide wheels at the front, while 275/40 ZR 19 tyres combine with 9.5-inch-wide wheels at the rear.
AMG SPEEDSHIFT 5-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel gearshift paddles
The drive power is transferred to the wheels in the new S 65 AMG via the AMG SPEEDSHIFT five-speed automatic transmission with AMG steering-wheel gearshift paddles and DIRECT SELECT gearshift. The conventional automatic selector lever in the centre console is replaced by a lever on the steering column, which the driver nudges to select the transmission settings "P", "N", "R" and "D".
The driver can use the "S/C/M" mode button in the centre console to select from the "Sport", "Comfort" and "Manual" shift programmes that not only change the transmission characteristics but also the accelerator response and the spring/damper settings of the AMG sports suspension based on Active Body Control. The gears can also be shifted at any time using the silver-coloured aluminium gearshift paddles on the AMG ergonomic sports steering wheel.
High torque requires a reinforced powertrain
The unrivalled 1000 Nm torque requires a systematically reinforced powertrain on the S 65 AMG. In the automatic transmission this includes newly developed clutch plates with a high-quality metallic coating and the modified shift and torque converter logic. Redesigned drive shafts, larger hub carriers as well as strengthened steel spring links supplement these measures.
AMG sports suspension based on Active Body Control
The AMG sports suspension with the Active Body Control system is the perfect complement to the sophisticated drive technology. The active suspension reduces almost all of the body movements that occur when moving off, negotiating bends and braking. Bends are negotiated with far less roll; the body roll with fast evasive manoeuvring is effectively suppressed. Compared with the previous model, the second-generation Active Body Control is even more effective, for instance in reducing body movements in any given driving situation. Thus the S 65 AMG opens up new dimensions in dynamic handling – while offering appreciably improved ride comfort.
Unmistakable AMG bodystyling creates a distinctive look
Hallmark Mercedes elegance coupled with distinctive sportiness – the first impression you get from the new S 65 AMG. The new AMG bodystyling is combined superbly with the pronounced flared wheel arches, providing a markedly poised and assured appearance. At the front the redesigned AMG front apron with enlarged air intakes adds an athletic touch. The two slanted struts and integrated round fog lamps set in chrome rings make the S-Class look even wider and lower. The side skirts take up the line of the AMG front apron and emphasise the dynamic feel of the side view; all reinforced through the "V12 biturbo" lettering on the front wings.
The new multi-piece 19-inch five-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels with a star on the centre of the wheel painted in titanium grey blend harmoniously into the overall lines and represent additional highlights. The powerful AMG bodystyling design of the rear apron and the AMG sports exhaust system comprising two combined twin tailpipes in the new V12 design provide the perfect finishing touches.
Exclusive interior appointments with multicontour seats and "RACETIMER"
The exclusive interior appointments fit in perfectly with the dynamic exterior: open the door and the S 65 AMG welcomes the driver with a large AMG logo in the AMG instrument cluster's central display. The integrated custom AMG main menu constantly displays the gear currently selected as well as recommending when to shift up to the next gear. There is also a choice of engine oil temperature, the battery voltage or the "RACETIMER". This new function enables the driver for the first time to calculate lap times in the AMG model – on a private racetrack, for instance. The RACETIMER stores the time of the fastest lap, the average and top speed as well as the lap distance; all the information can be called up conveniently using the thumb-operated buttons on the AMG ergonomic sports steering wheel. The AMG instrument cluster with its 360-km/h dial discreetly indicates the performance of the S 65 AMG.
The extensive burr walnut trim, the "Exclusive PASSION" leather upholstery and the AMG dynamic sports seats with their own distinctive design add that touch of distinctive flair. The AMG ergonomic sports steering wheel with its specially sculpted rim and the AMG aluminium gearshift paddles with "up" and "down" lettering is a joy to hold and behold. One of the most eye-catching features in the interior of the new S 65 AMG is the exclusive analogue clock with its "IWC Ingenieur" design in the centre console. High-quality AMG door sill panels provide the finishing touch for the interior.
Twelve-cylinder biturbo engine with know-how from motorsport
This exclusive performance is made possible by the 5980-cc V12 engine developed by Mercedes-AMG. The engine's credentials are outstanding: maximum output of 450 kW/612 hp is maintained from 4750 to 5100 rpm, while the maximum torque of 1000 Nm can be called on from 2000 to 4000 rpm. Even as low as 1000 rpm, the AMG V12 biturbo engine already delivers 570 Nm of torque to the crankshaft, while 750 Nm is on tap at 1500 rpm.
When designing and building the V12 engine the AMG designers drew on the vast know-how amassed over many years of motorsport involvement. The AMG V12 engine has a precision-balanced crankshaft made out of high-strength materials, forged pistons made out of special material which is extremely resistant to temperature and pressure, a more effective oil-spray cooling system with a separate individual nozzle for each piston plus larger piston pins. The main and big-end bearings are also made out of improved materials to compensate for peak temperatures and pressures more effectively. The charge cycle in the cylinder heads benefits from optimised combustion chambers and longer opening times of the intake valves. A modified oil pump ensures that all lubrication points are supplied with oil - even in highly demanding conditions. An engine oil cooler is integrated into the AMG front apron, with an additional engine coolant radiator located in the wheel arch.
Highly efficient charge-air cooler
The charge-air cooler has also been redesigned with a low-temperature radiator in the front of the vehicle that is around 70 percent larger. The system works on the principle of the air/water heat exchanger for particularly effective cooling of the intake air (which has been compressed by the turbochargers) before it enters the combustion chambers. The increased surface area of the low-temperature radiator provides a 25 percent reduction in intake temperature and guarantees high power and torque output under all operating conditions and regardless of the outside temperature, even when the engine is operating at full load. The housings of the compressor and turbine in both turbochargers as well as the turbine and compressor wheels have been enlarged to cope with the maximum charge pressure of 1.5 bar.
The electronically controlled fuel supply with newly developed components operates with a variable system pressure between 3.6 and 5.0 bar. Depending on the power requirements and outside temperature, the fuel pressure is variably controlled almost instantly. The engine management system translates the command from the accelerator within milliseconds, delivering an extremely fast response from the engine in all load situations.
AMG sports exhaust system for typical AMG twelve-cylinder vocals
The AMG sports exhaust system with two twin chrome tailpipes in the new V12 design provides the telltale AMG twelve-cylinder vocals on the new S 65 AMG. The new tri-metallic coating used in the catalytic converters provides a faster response from a cold start, improved emission control as well as longer life. Naturally the S 65 AMG fulfils all standard exhaust emissions limits such as EU 4. The ultra-powerful twelve-cylinder unit takes the specific requirements of the U.S. market such as LEV II, "On-Board Diagnosis II" and oxygen sensor diagnosis in its stride.
The special position of the AMG V12 engine was singled out at the "International Engine of the Year Awards 2004": in the "Best Performance Engine" category the jury chose the 450-kW/612-hp AMG engine as the winner, beating off a field of 70 renowned competitors from Europe, the USA and Japan. In the AMG engine manufacturing facility, each engine is traditionally hand-built according to the "One man, one engine" philosophy. That means that each complete AMG V12 engine is assembled from start to finish by a single technician – documented with the technician's signature on the AMG engine plate.

Porsche Press Release
Year after year, the Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe just keep getting better, not through revolutionary re-engineering, but through sometimes subtle changes that take place beneath the cars' now-classic silhouette.
The enhancements continue for the 2007 model year with such new standard features as leather seating surfaces and tire-pressure monitoring technology. The optional navigation system has been expanded to include maps of Mexico and Puerto Rico as well as the rest of North America. There's even a new exterior paint color – Meteor Grey Metallic – as well as new optional 19-inch wheel designs.
Such changes may not be dramatic, but they illustrate Porsche's on-going enhancement of the venerable 911, which is now in its sixth generation since being launched at the 1963 Frankfurt Motor Show. While the powerplant continues to be a horizontally opposed "flat" six-cylinder, that rear-mounted engine now generates 325 horsepower in its 3.6-liter version that propels the 2007 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe and 355 horsepower in the larger, 3.8-liter variation found in the 2007 Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe.
The 911 has been constantly refined over the course of more than 40 years, and the result is a nimble,
dynamic sports car that is at home on the road or the racetrack.
The 2007 Porsche 911 Carrera and 2007 Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupes may look similar to the 911s
that came before, but they are thoroughly updated models inside and out. They feature six-speed manual transmissions or optional Tiptronic ® S automatic gearboxes with shift buttons on the steering wheel, variable-ratio rack-and-pinion steering, Porsche Active Suspension Management (optional on the 911 Carrera and standard on the 911 Carrera S), an optional Sport Chrono Package Plus that enhances 2007 911 Carrera / Carrera S Coupe 2 performance and records and displays lap times, as well as a passenger compartment with several seating options and a long list of active and passive safety equipment.
For example, for the newest generation of the 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera S Coupes, Porsche
engineers widened the track, improved suspension, steering, braking and aerodynamics, and increased not only engine output but also fuel efficiency. Meanwhile, designers created an even more athletic and aerodynamic body and a new and roomier interior compartment for people and their gear.
New technologies and advances in lubricants extend service intervals and should contribute to a lower
cost of ownership during the lifespan of the 2007 Porsche 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera S Coupes. Oil
changes are required only every 20,000 miles, air filters last until 40,000 miles and spark plugs should
be changed at 60,000 miles.
Every 2007 Porsche vehicle sold in the United States or Canada is covered by a fouryear/50,000-mile
(80,000 kilometer), bumper-to-bumper limited warranty, which includes Porsche's roadside assistance
program. The galvanized body and 26-step paint and anti-corrosion process enable Porsche to warrant
each car against rust perforation for 10 years and unlimited mileage.

Ferrari's legendary range of V8-engined sports cars has been joined by the new F430 Spider when it was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show (March 3-13 2005). The F430 is the first of a new generation of Ferrari 8-cylinder models. This new car takes Ferrari's achievements with aluminum technology, begun with the 360 Modena, to a new level, and offers a series of innovations derived from the Ferrari Formula 1 single-seaters.
Ferrari's new drop-top includes a number of important technical features which give hints of the car's F1 pedigree, starting with the innovative electronic differential (E-diff) - first developed by the racing division for the Scuderia's all-conquering F1 cars – which improves traction and road holding under all conditions. The Spider also features the steering wheel-mounted rotary switch, known to the Scuderia's drivers as the 'manettino', which allows the car's set-up to be adjusted easily and quickly.
Formula 1 is again the inspiration for the development of the company's road cars. Designed by Pininfarina, the F430 Spider's sinuous lines, in fact, were fine-tuned using state-of-the-art computer aerodynamics simulation programs usually employed exclusively by the F1 team.
The F430 Spider's shape is the result of lengthy testing and features a pronounced rear lip spoiler which is integrated into the end of the engine cover, new bigger rear air intakes that emphasize the car's muscular stance, and a new rear valance that incorporates a diffuser of competition derivation. The engine itself is attractively set below a glass cover.
Just like the berlinetta, the new Spider incorporates two elliptical air intakes that feed the front radiators. The shape of the intakes is inspired by Ferrari's racing cars from the 1961 season, especially the 156 F1 which Phil Hill drove to that year's F1 Championship title. The spoiler that joins the two intakes at their bottom edge is highly effective in directing the central air flow towards the flat underbody.
The F430 Spider boasts a compact, fully automatic electric hood that allows the engine to be seen in all its glory at all times and which, once lowered, takes up relatively little space, despite the uncompromising central-rear engine layout.
The F430 Spider is powered by Ferrari's new 490 bhp, 4,308 cc 90° V8 which is capable of pushing the car to a top speed of over 193 mph and covering the 0-62 mph sprint in just 4.1 seconds. This lightweight and highly compact power unit produces a specific output of 114 bhp per liter with a weight-to-power ratio of 6.4 lbs (2.9 kg) per horsepower (dry weight).

With the world's only V16 engine currently in a production car its no surprise that the Bugatti Veyron is the most powerful car ever manufactured. And the 1001 horsepower that scream from this monster motor is as smooth as silk. The Veyron out class the field in terms of power with the second place Koenigsegg CC R having nearly 200hp less than it's two tone V16 rival.

Miss England Georgia Horsley Launched New Bikini Line in Sexy White Bikini, Hot Pics
Georgia Horsley recently won the 2008 Miss England pageant. Georgia Horsley launched the new Aquaclara Official Miss England bikini on Friday. Much like her British ancestor's before her, Georgia Horsley is causing a revolution in my pants. This revolution is not caused by over taxation or violent oppression but by sexy hotness. We really like this girl, I love the way she show off her ass for the camera.
Georgia Faye Horsley (born 1987 in North Yorkshire, England) won the Miss England 2007 title and the opportunity to represent England in the Miss World 2007 pageant which was held in Sanya, China on the 1 December that year. During her year as Miss England Georgia is keen to help the deaf association and cancer charities.
Horsley hails from Malton, North Yorkshire and has been working as a model and florist.
Horsley has her success at one of the fast track events held during the pageant when she was one of the top 18 semifinalists of the Miss World Talent. In spite of being one of the early favourites of the contest, she failed to secure a place in the top 16 on the final night.
It was reported internationally when the representatives of the Miss England pageant committee asked her to "fatten up" in order to get a more "womanly figure" and to help end anorexia among models. She was even featured on the American television network NBC's Today show for this issue.
Miranda Kerr Modeling Some Sexy Lingerie Pictures, Hot Victoria's Secret Pics
Miranda Kerr is sexy as hell, she is a Victoria's Secret Model from Australia. One funny thing about this girl is its not clear how old she really is, either 22, or 24, the jury is out on that one. Its because she lied about her age at one point and now no one know her age for sure, I am betting she is 22 and she lie she was older. Miranda May Kerr (born 20 April 1983 or 1985) is an Australian model, best known as one of the Victoria's Secret Angels (the first Australian addition to the Victoria's Secret campaign), and as the face of Australian fashion chain in the late 90's within the fashion industry after winning an Australian nation-wide model search hosted by Dolly Magazine and Impulse fragrances and has found continued success globally.
At thirteen, Kerr entered and won the 1997 annual Dolly Magazine/Impulse Model Competition and was flown to Sydney a week before her fourteenth birthday to shoot for the magazine. Upon winning, local media expressed 'concerned outrage' at her young age and rose concern about the glorification of young girls within the entertainment industry, suggesting her youthful covers in skimpy attire constituted soft-core pornography. Media publications also took her youth as an opportunity to debate the objectification of young girls within the fashion and beauty industry, with some conservative media outlets claiming her Dolly shoot (including images of fourteen year old Kerr in bathing suits) constituted child pornography. Of the press, Kerr said: "In the media at the time they were trying to cling on to anything remotely to do with paedophilia. Dolly is a magazine for teenage girls, not for old men. And I was fully clothed! Doing a winter shoot! They just made something out of nothing."

Britney Spears Doesn't Need a Driver's License to Drive
Britney driving around LA in a battle scared Benz without a valid license.
Britney Spears is still driving despite being charged with charged in Los Angeles for driving without a valid license since she's never been issued a California driver's license and charged with hit and run after hitting a parked car. It seem like the law just does not apply to this woman. I worry about her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James are being driven around by a mother without a valid license.
